The household plug, armored for industry
Having an auxiliary power outlet in your pool or garden panel is essential for connecting drills, pressure washers, or chargers. Standard hinged-cover sockets (IP44) often fail due to condensation or direct water jets. This Schuko base solves that problem by raising protection to the IP67 grade.
Why is it better than a standard cover socket?
Normal sockets have a spring-loaded flap that simply covers the holes. This model uses superior engineering:
- Sealing Gaskets: Located on both the rear mounting base and the front cover.
- Safety Locking: The rigid blue cover features a bayonet/screw system. When closed, it compresses the rubber to hermetically seal the interior, allowing you to hose down the panel without fear of water ingress.
Universal Compatibility (Schuko)
Although it looks like a complex industrial connector, it is actually a standard Schuko socket (Type F) rated for 16 Amps. This means you can plug in any conventional device:
- Drills and power tools.
- Lawnmowers and hedge trimmers.
- Portable drainage pumps.
- Battery chargers.
Panel Mounting
This model is designed to be screwed onto a flat surface (metal or plastic panel of an electrical box). It requires cutting the panel to house the rear section where electrical connections are made.
Usage note: Total IP67 protection is guaranteed when the cover is closed and locked. When a plug is connected, protection depends on the male connector you use.
