A contactor is an electromechanical element with the capacity to establish or interrupt the electrical current. Contactors have the possibility of being remotely operated by an external element, which allows us to operate an electrical device with a large load from small switches, remote controls or devices, without these having to support the load of the device that we want to activate.

NC or normally closed contactors are devices that, while they are not activated, allow current to flow to the device they supply, and when they are activated, they do not allow current to flow.
